The Hebrew Free Loan Association of Pittsburgh (HFLA) is pleased to offer our community the opportunity to enroll with Giving Credit and have their interest-free loans, or any other peer-to-peer loans, reported to Giving Credit to help you build a character-based credit report.

Applicants, borrowers, and others can choose to enroll, whether you have an open loan with HFLA or not. You can connect with others, make or receive peer loans from your trusted social network, and develop a character-based credit report. You can also share your Giving Credit report with HFLA when applying for an interest-free loan from HFLA.

How It Works

Sign up for Giving Credit: Create your free Giving Credit account through this page.

Add Your HFLA Loan to Giving Credit: If you choose to participate, your interest-free loan with HFLA will be securely reported to your Giving Credit Report. In addition to your HFLA loan, you can document trusted peer loans and community-based repayment activity, creating a more complete picture of your financial reliability.

Get Credit: Share your Giving Credit Report with HFLA when applying for an interest-free loan. You can also share your report with financial institutions to borrow at lower costs.

Why This Matters

Credit scores miss the real story. That's why we are teaming up: to help you build a strong credit report based on how you financially engage with your community, including HFLA.
